A recent survey has revealed that Britons are the biggest spenders online in Europe. In 2009 UK shoppers collectively spent £38 billion which accounted for 30% of total European sales. Despite the current economic environment online sales grew by 12% in the UK during a recession and the internet accounted for just under 10% of total retail sales. The UK is now the single biggest online market and consumers and business are going online looking for best deal on everything from office furniture to life insurance.
